APW6 - Pottery for Adults - Wednesdays @ 6:30pm / Ingrid Russell

Beginners and continuers.

$30 cash glaze and firing fee to be paid on first session

Wednesdays 6:30pm - 8:30 pm, 8 weeks x 2 hrs Teacher: Ingrid Russell

4 weeks of hand building and 4 weeks of wheel work.

Optional: Order a basic tool kit and clay for $50 cash on first session, or clay only $30, by emailing bmcac.mail@gmail.com.

We will be using white earthenware clay which is available from Artsup in Kingswood where you can also purchase a basic set of tools.

Materials List:

  • A bag of Blackwattle Earthenware clay- only bring a quarter of the bag each session)
  • n
  • A set of basic tools including:
  • n
  • needle tool, wooden sculpting tool, rubber kidney, metal serrated kidney, metal smooth kidney, feathering tool, small sponge, clay cutting wire
  • n
  • Also bring: small sharp knife - like a paring knife or scalpel, toothbrush, apron, large freezer bags or zip lock bags, ruler, permanent marker, small jar with tight lid , towel
  • n

You are welcome to use the centre's basic set of glazes which is covered by the $30 glaze and firing fee, but if you want some specific colour or effect you will need to purchase your own. Make sure you get earthenware glazes.
